What’s included in the course fee
Bag making kit – set yourself up for success with this kit. It contains everything you need to make a bag to take home, as follows:
- Two perfectly coordinated external fabrics, and lining fabric (premium 100% quilting cotton), non-fraying fabric for zipper pocket overlay
- Zipper tape
- All hardware: including feet, magnetic snap, swivel connectors, rivets, and more. *The finish on all pieces of hardware and zipper match perfectly
- Interfacings
- Stabiliser
You will have access to cutting and ironing equipment, threads, etc
Two full days of in-person instruction and help
Pdf version of the bag and necessär pattern to use at home. Patterns include printable templates which you can use at home.
Morning and afternoon fika with cake and fruit
What to bring
- Your bag sewing project/s. Bring a brand new project to begin or bring an unfinished project. If you have a project you have a problem with and can’t progress with it, bring it along and let’s get you sewing it again.
- Your own sewing machine (in good and safe working order)
- Pins, seam ripper, any tools or supplies you prefer to have to hand
- Needle/s – I recommend universal 80/12 or microtex 80/12
- Bring fabrics and stabilisers/interfacings for your project.
- Your own lunch – a fridge and microwave are available, or there is a Circle K and pizza restaurant close by

- You are a confident and experienced sewist.
- You want to learn transferable bag-making techniques
- You enjoy small groups and individual guidance
